Me, Mohammad Hossein Zolfaghari...

Welcome to my website! My name is Mohammad Hosein Zolfaghari, and I was born in Semnan, Iran in 1985. This website contains a brief introduction of me and my activities so far...

 

 

My greatest achievement so far is the invention of a "Slope Climbing Robot" and the first place in the Khaarazmi Nationwide Innovations and Inventions Festival which granted to me by the President of Iran in December 2002, from more than thirteen thousand projects. Inspired by the movements of a snail, I designed a robot with unique capabilities, including moving on walls, ceilings or metal surfaces with any degree of slope.

The characteristics of the robot include: The ability to move in narrow tunnels, automatic or manual correction of its path, remote control by telephone, recognition of wall ends and barriers, sound control, emergency electricity, adjusting step lengths and speed and carrying equipment, especially for welding inside gas pipes. I have also obtained a scientific medal of honor, awarded by the President and subsequently being introduced as one of the selected elites of Iran.

My other achievements include: Reaching the second stage of the computer Olympiad for two consecutive years (2001-2), achieving the first rank in the science competitions (physics, mathematics, computing), poetry, theatre, and swimming at regional levels and honorary membership of the Young Iranian Physicists Association.


In 2003, I continued my studies in Electrical Engineering as an honorary student of the Iran University of Science and Technology without needing to pass the national entrance examination (Konkur) and during my studies I was selected as an outstanding student at the University.


I have continued my education without passing the foundation year in Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) and the University of Birmingham Collaboration Programme since 2005, and  I have become one of the outstanding students with the first honor GPA.

 

Also, I have performed vast range of advanced projects with use of Image and Speech Processing techniques, different family of Microprocessors and advanced programming languages such as MATLAB (GUI, Code and Simulink), LabVIEW, Xillinx ISE, Advanced C, Proteous, Pspice, Keil, Protel, Orcad, Bascom, Codevision, VB, ASP, 3DMax, Access and etc. I have also taught Computing, Electronics and Robotics at University as well as private institutes.

As my MEng thesis I designed Life Protector, a device that measures Heart pulse rate, body temperature, saturation of oxygen in blood (SPO2), blood pressure and level of understanding, and checks the vital signs. It also saves vital-sign's data, and also send it to internet and has online connectivity to Family, Police and Emergency via internet, voice call and text message to send alarm and data of vital signs in emergency times using the Wireless Technologies. Using Visual Studio, it uses cell phone via Bluetooth protocol to deal with GPRS and WAP service and GPS location finder.
